When to use this sign

Clear opening hours help customers avoid a wasted visit. Use this weekly template on a shop door, office entrance or service counter.

Each day is independent, so you can combine split opening periods, shorter days and weekly closures. Holiday exceptions need to be entered and kept up to date manually.

How to make your business hours sign

Have all seven days ready. Use a consistent time format, such as 09:00–14:00 · 17:00–20:00. Write “Closed” instead of leaving a required day blank.

  1. Enter the business name and Monday’s hours.
  2. Use “Copy Monday to Tuesday–Friday” when weekdays match, then edit exceptions.
  3. Fill in Saturday and Sunday separately and add any general notes.
  4. Check the preview and download a new version whenever the schedule changes.

Printing and sharing tips

Print the PDF on A4 and display it near the entrance at a comfortable reading height. Check that long time ranges remain legible.

Keep notes short. Use the vacation notice for a temporary closure instead of burying reopening dates in the weekly schedule.

Enter both time periods for a split day. Write “Closed” for days without opening and use the notes for exceptions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I show a split opening day?

Does copying Monday overwrite the weekend?

No. It only copies to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Are public holidays added automatically?

No. Write the relevant exceptions in the notes and update them as needed.
